About This Position
The Clinical Charge Audit Analyst performs detailed audits of medical records, comparing the medical record documentation against the itemized bill, nursing procedures, and department documented charging practices. Coordinates and reports audit outcome regarding charge errors, percentage of savings or losses for the facility, data processing errors, the performance of the hospital charging system, as well as documentation and justification within the medical record and itemized bill.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Three (3) years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA.
Experience with PC’s, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and database software applications. Proficient in chart review, clinical record information systems and coding methodologies. Ability to communicate orally and in written form. Must be team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
