DeliverIt is looking for a driven Procurement Specialist to be on the front lines with these responsibilities, including sourcing, purchasing, vendor coordination, shipment tracking, and order follow-ups. This ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and strong supplier relationships, crucial for out domestic and international business!
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure timely procurement of goods and services
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing and terms
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies
- Maintain approved vendor lists and support vendor onboarding
Order & Shipment Management
- Track orders from placement to delivery
- Follow up with vendors on order status, backorders, and delivery timelines
- Coordinate shipments and logistics to ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies
Vendor & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contracts
- Address and resolve vendor-related issues promptly
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and budget requirements
- Assist with audits and reporting as needed
Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to forecast needs
- Support cost-control and inventory optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of procurement or purchasing experience
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing/ERP systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in logistics or healthcare procurement (if applicable)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Office-based with regular coordination with vendors and internal teams
- May require occasional follow-up outside regular hours for urgent shipments
