Job Summary:

Ensures software, products, and systems meet quality standards, functionality, and performance requirements before release.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases, scripts, and plans
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues
  • Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
  • Analyze test results, report findings, and recommend corrective actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices, creation and enhancement of SOPs
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing
  • Self-motivated and able to focus on priorities of the organization
  • Working in diverse workstreams, agile and non-agile as well as development and bug fix

Nonessential Functions:

  • Participating in ad-hoc projects or special assignments as directed by management
  • Identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks in existing QA or development workflows and recommending solutions to improve them
  • Sharing best practices and lessons learned within the organization
  • Contributing to the creation or refinement of internal guidelines, templates, or tools that streamline QA and related processes
  • Preparing and organizing management information, such as progress reports or summaries for leadership
  • Assisting other departments with quality-related inquiries or minor process improvements outside the main QA scope.
  • Other duties as assigned or appropriate

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in software QA or testing roles
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with test management and bug tracking tools
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Jenkins, Rainforest, Postman) is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and a passion for quality
  • Experience testing EDI, web, database and mobile applications
  • SOC knowledge and experience is a plus
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus (CSQA, CAT, CSTE)
