This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and scale a global payroll function across multiple regions, including the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia. You will oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large, rapidly growing workforce while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. Acting as a key partner to Finance, HR, and Legal teams, you will drive payroll process improvements, system optimization, and internal controls. This position combines leadership, technical payroll expertise, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will manage a team of payroll specialists, promote best practices, and help establish a world-class, scalable payroll operation that supports global expansion and employee satisfaction.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the global payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing across multiple countries and jurisdictions
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and international tax, labor, and statutory regulations
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve payroll processes, reconciliations, and internal controls for each pay cycle
  • Manage year-end payroll reporting requirements, including W-2s, P60s, T4s, and other country-specific filings
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Accounting, FP&A, and Legal teams to ensure accurate data, resolve payroll issues, and establish funding requirements
  • Support SOX compliance and internal/external audits, maintaining thorough documentation and controls
  • Mentor and lead a team of payroll specialists, promoting accountability, professional development, and operational excellence
  • Identify and mitigate payroll risks, introducing best-in-class processes and system improvements
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience managing US and international payroll operations, preferably in high-growth organizations
  • Expertise in Workday Payroll and demonstrated experience optimizing payroll systems and processes
  • Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, benefits, 401(k), wage and hour regulations, and global compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to create and run customized reports for compliance, tax, and regulatory purposes
  • Hands-on experience with payroll accounting and general ledger activities
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding payroll specialists
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leadership
