ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to champion quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle. In this individual contributor role, you will move beyond traditional "testing at the end" by adopting a "shift left" mindset - collaborating deeply with Product Managers and Developers from the moment a feature is conceived. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an in-office position located in Trivandrum, requiring onsite attendance 4+ days per week. By submitting your application, you confirm that you are either presently located in Trivandrum or prepared to relocate. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

In this role you can expect to:

Champion "Shift Left" Quality: Engage early in the development cycle by participating in design reviews and requirements gathering. You will partner with Product Managers to define strict Acceptance Criteria (AC) and ensure user stories are testable before a single line of code is written.
Design Test Strategy: Lead the creation of comprehensive testing strategies for complex features. You will determine the right balance of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure maximum coverage with minimal maintenance overhead.
Drive Automation: Architect and develop scalable automated test scripts and frameworks. You will focus on reducing manual toil by automating regression suites and critical user journeys using modern testing tools.
Collaborate & Problem-Solve: Work side-by-side with Software Engineers to investigate the root cause of defects and verify fixes. You will act as a quality consultant, helping developers improve their own unit and integration tests.
Execute & Validate: Perform thorough functional, regression, and performance testing. You will validate that features meet business requirements and performance standards before they reach production.
Leverage AI for Quality: Actively utilize AI-powered tools to generate test cases, write automation scripts, and analyze test data to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging QA technologies and methodologies. You will recommend improvements to our CI/CD pipelines and quality processes to ensure we are always shipping reliable software.

To be successful in this role you bring:

6+ years of software quality assurance experience, with a focus on web-based enterprise applications.
Proven track record of working in a "shift left" environment, proactively contributing to stories, acceptance criteria, and design discussions.
Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) and coding skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
Good understanding of API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman or programmatic API test frameworks.
Experience testing on the Salesforce platform or other complex Enterprise application platforms is highly desirable.
Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI-powered coding and testing tools (e.g., Windsurf, Cursor, or similar AI assistants) to enhance test creation efficiency. You can walk interviewers through your strategies for reviewing AI-generated test code.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate quality risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
