Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Director, Senior in United States.
This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of advanced geospatial intelligence, satellite systems operations, and mission-critical defense support. You will oversee the end-to-end execution of EO/SAR imagery workflows, direct downlink systems, and passive RF satellite tracking in high-tempo operational environments. The role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities across analyst teams and cross-functional mission partners. You will help shape and optimize AI/ML-enabled GEOINT pipelines that directly support intelligence and defense operations. Operating in both CONUS and OCONUS contexts, you will contribute to real-world ISR missions and international engagements. This is a highly impactful position requiring precision, adaptability, and strong technical leadership in complex, security-sensitive environments.
- Lead the operation and optimization of direct satellite downlink systems, antenna networks, and high-data-rate recorders supporting mission-critical data flows.
- Oversee monitoring and enhancement of imagery processing pipelines, including AI/ML-driven object detection and geospatial analysis workflows.
- Direct passive RF GEO satellite tracking activities and contribute to Space Situational Awareness (SSA) concept of operations development.
- Produce and validate EO/SAR imagery products, geospatial intelligence outputs, and mission-ready analytical deliverables.
- Integrate and automate GEOINT/ISR workflows using DevOps practices and Python-based scripting solutions.
- Deploy and support ISR operations in CONUS and OCONUS environments for missions, exercises, and partner engagements.
- Train, mentor, and manage analyst teams in imagery exploitation, geospatial analysis, and intelligence production workflows.
- 10+ years of experience in GEOINT, remote sensing, imagery analysis, or intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations.
- Hands-on expertise with direct downlink systems, passive RF tracking, and ground station operations.
- Strong proficiency in geospatial and imagery tools such as ArcGIS Pro, ENVI, ERDAS IMAGINE, QGIS, and SAR/EO exploitation platforms.
- Experience building or supporting AI/ML-enabled geospatial workflows and DevOps-driven automation pipelines.
- Proven background supporting defense, intelligence community, or federal mission environments (DoD, Space Force, DHS, or IC).
- Demonstrated leadership ability in managing teams, training analysts, and operating in high-tempo mission settings.
- Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with military, government, and technical stakeholders.
- Competitive salary range: $176,900 – $332,400 annually.
- Eligibility for incentive compensation.
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work schedules.
- 401(k) retirement plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
- Life insurance and additional financial protection programs.
- Strong emphasis on employee wellbeing and work-life balance.
- Career development opportunities within a mission-driven, high-impact environment.
