Pay Range: $50.42 - $62.26 per hour

Job Overview:

Perform standard carotid vascular studies, venous studies, arterial studies, renal studies, and TCD. Perform other necessary test protocols and deemed by physician. Communicate well with patients, visitors and co-workers, respecting confidentiality. Maintain rooms adequately stocked and maintenance of equipment. Observe practices consistent with infection control policies. Accepts responsibility for scheduling inpatients, record keeping and entering appropriate billing information in the hospital MIS. Assist the chief technologist with scheduling and assignments of staff/patients and actively participate in the completion of quality assurance projects. Assist in the completion of orientation and competencies of staff.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Vascular Ultrasound program
  • Minimum three years' experience in vascular technology

Preferred:

  • 2 years TCD experience preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Registered: RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI)
  • CPR certified

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Days
  • Full time

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure continual quality improvement of patient services.
  • Demonstrate ideals of quality customer service.
  • Participate in continuing education maintaining minimum 5 CME’s per year.
  • Support policies and procedures of the department and hospital.
  • Maintain Vascular Laboratory standards as set by Inter-societal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL).
  • Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
