Accounting Intern in Scottsdale, Arizona at Roberts Resorts & Communities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The objective of this position is to assist accounting department through summer.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

• Adhere to the Roberts Communities Core Values Platform and Policies and Procedures Manual
• Assist the Field as needed with invoice coding/approval/training
• Enter ACH bills/payments
• Enter Petty Cash reports in Rent Manager
• Process checks and refund requests
• Review P&L and make adjusting entries as needed
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and schedules
• Assist Assistant Controller and the accounting team as needed

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Professional phone presence
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with MS Office-Word, Excel, and Outlook

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong Relational Skills
• Thoroughness and an Attention to Detail
• Excellent and Attentive Customer Service
• Must be resourceful and able to find solutions when issues arise

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physical Activities: Constantly sit, talk, or hear; Frequently use hands; Occasionally stand, walk, reach with hands and arms
• Lifting Requirements: Up to 10 lbs.
• Environment Conditions: Occasionally exposed to extreme heat, temperature changes
