About This Position
Job Description
We are currently looking for an Integrations Lead to join our team.
This position will be remote, but the candidates must occasionally be able to attend meetings in the Rockville, MD and Washington, DC areas as needed. Qualified candidates must have or can attain a DHS Public Trust security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
· Provide expert leadership and guidance in performance for these objectives/requirements.
· Be responsible for leading the overall e?orts to integrate and mature zero trust capabilities. Supports engineering, architecture, and vendor/product agnostic decisions.
· Assist the USCIS ZT Project Manager and all USCIS Pillar Leads to ensure integration across Pillars and advance all overarching sub capabilities/functions across all Pillars beyond their current maturity scores to a level of Advanced or Optimal.
· Isolate sensitive resources from being accessed by unauthorized people or things by dynamically defining network access, deploying micro-segmentation techniques, and control network flows while encrypting end-to-end traffic.
The Integrations Lead’s daily work will be broken down into task areas of:
· Network segmentation
· Network traffic management
· Traffic encryption
· Network resilience
· Governance and policy management
· Visibility and analytics
· Automation and orchestration
· Cybersecurity
Required Qualifications
· Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing Zero Trust frameworks in large-scale, including an in-depth understanding of NIST SP 800-207 and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture.
· Proficiency in implementing technologies across these two zero trust pillars.
· Experience with technologies and techniques for isolating workloads and data flows within a network to enforce more granular access policies.
· Deep knowledge of Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) to provide secure remote access for users and devices.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively advise senior leaders and brief both technical and non-technical stakeholders on Zero Trust concepts.

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience verifying device identity and security posture for endpoints using Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and other management tools.
· Profound knowledge of authentication technologies like multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), and attribute-based access control (ABAC).
· Extensive experience engineering, troubleshooting, and securing a wide range of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers from leading vendors.
· Experience with cloud-based network infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), including securing hybrid cloud environments.
· Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms, such as Splunk and Swimlane Turbine.
· The ability to conduct complex risk assessments, analyze network data, and design effective security solutions.
· Strong understanding of relevant federal regulations, standards, and frameworks, such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53.
· Have one (1) of the following active certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Security, CCIE Wireless, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Routing & Switching, Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security), or other comparable certification or experience, which must be approved in advance by the Federal Program Manager on a case-by-case basis.
