ms consultants, inc. is seeking a well connected executive leader to serve as Vice President, Regional Operations for our North Carolina Region. This high impact leadership role is suited for a relationship driven professional with experience across infrastructure markets, including transportation and water, and a proven record of expanding market presence through leadership, credibility, and community engagement.
As the senior leader for the region, you will lead the North Carolina office and broader regional platform, representing ms with public and private sector clients, industry partners, and community leaders. This role requires a deep understanding of the regionits communities, priorities, and decisionmakersand the ability to leverage relationships, thought leadership, and influence to advance community outcomes while growing the firms services and brand.
You will play a critical role in shaping regional growth, strengthening executive level relationships, and positioning ms as a trusted infrastructure partner across North Carolina, while developing people and partnerships that support the long-term success of the communities we serve.
- Develop and execute a regional growth strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Serve as the executive relationship leader with NCDOT, major metropolitan areas, local municipalities, and other state and regional agencies.
- Build and sustain senior level relationships with public sector leaders, agency decisionmakers, and industry partners across North Carolina.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities, while expanding and strengthening existing client partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with senior leaders across the Business Units to identify, develop, and pursue business opportunities; participate in industry events; and coordinate regional brand building and market positioning initiatives.
- Represent ms as the senior brand ambassador for the North Carolina region at industry events, conferences, and executive forums.
- Provide strategic revenue forecasting and client engagement updates to the Chief Growth Officer.
- Analyze market trends, funding programs, and infrastructure priorities to proactively position the firm for long term success.
- Ensure alignment with company culture, values, and performance standards.
- A strong network within North Carolinas infrastructure and transportation community, particularly with NCDOT and related public agencies.
- Demonstrated success in business development, strategic planning, and client management.
- Executive presence and the ability to represent the firm at the highest levels of state transportation leadership.
- A collaborative, hands on leadership style focused on accountability, mentorship, and measurable results.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong strategic problem-solving capabilities.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, community centered infrastructure solutions.
- A bachelors degree in a related field or relevant years of experience.
- Experience in a technical consulting firm or related industry.
- Progressive leadership experience, including business development and team oversight.
- Willingness to travel across North Carolina, including our Wilmington office and corporate headquarters as needed.
