TITLE: Varsity Boys Baseball JV Assistant Coach

Summary:

Following the mission of The Blake School and the core purposes of the athletic department, the boys JV level baseball coach will direct, serve, and work alongside the Blake School Varsity Baseball program.

The Blake Boys Baseball Program competes in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference, which is part of the Minnesota State High School League.

Job Duties:

• work with the local current staff
• assist in aspects of the baseball program
• provide on and off field training opportunities that include instruction, management, and teaching of all pitchers/fielders/hitters
• assist with organizing off field planning
• communicating to players and parents
• guiding players interested in higher level baseball through the process
• other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals
• experience coaching with demonstrated success at the middle school/high school levels
• passion for working with lower level school athletes
• ability to balance team building with individual skill building
• integrity and fairness
