Job Title: Fiscal Intermediary (FI) Compliance Coordinator

Department: Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Reports to: Director of Individualized Community Supports

Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours/week

Schedule: Monday - Friday Daytime

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.50 / hour

General Description:

The Coordinator manages and reviews OPWDD and Medicaid-required documentation, ensures accurate uploads and labeling, assists with audits, collaborates with internal and external partners, supports staff training compliance, maintains tracking systems, assists families with compliance expectations, and helps manage Housing Subsidy documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees systems developed to track receipt and distribution of various documents as required for OPWDD regulations and guidance.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date knowledge of OPWDD regulations and guidance that pertain to CCFCS FI services.
  • Uses third-party software programs and regularly trains on most up-to-date practices on software platform to maintain compliance.
  • Contacts outside providers, including but not limited to, Care Mangers and Brokers, to follow up on documentation requests.
  • Reviews documentation to meet Medicaid standards.
  • Ensures documentation is uploaded in applicable software and accurate labeling.
  • Develops audit processes to ensure documentation comply with regulatory and agency standards and provides continuous feedback/recommendations to team to ensure adherence.
  • Partners with the Quality Improvement team and Corporate Compliance Officer perform specialized audits as needed, and to identify trends and evaluate outcomes.
  • Prepares documentation upon request for external audits.
  • Assists FI Supervisory team with maintaining staff training compliance and following up with employees.
  • Creates and maintains database for staffing needs and families needing additional hours
  • Assists FI Supervisors in obtaining missing staff documentation
  • Works with families and Self-Direction participants to better understand their role in compliance as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding.
  • Participates in groups that pertain to Compliance and SDS (DDAWNY/eVero) and share information with team.
  • Assists with annual housing recertifications under the NYS OPWDD Housing Subsidy Program.
  • Assists with maintaining tracking and documents for Housing Subsidy program

Requirements:

Education:

Associates degree in related field.

Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience as OPWDD CCO Care Manager, Self-Hired Staff, Fiscal Intermediary or OPWDD compliance

**Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Possession of a valid NYS Driver’s license and use of a registered and reliable vehicle.
