About the role
- Participate in monitoring slitter equipment to ensure material is cut corresponding to the agreed customer requirements and material meets Quality Control requirements.
What you'll do
- Read construction sheet and customer requirement sheet fully in order to meet the customer requirements.
- Inspects rolls to be coated, inspects for broken needles in felt, inspects for buildup of felt and any other issues that may occur.
- Assisting co-workers in machine setups.
- Inspects rolls after they have been coated for quality defects.
- Assisting co-workers in wrapping material.
- Inspect material during the cutting process.
- Participate in reporting out of spec material to Quality Control Department and any quality problems to Supervisor immediately.
- Participate in making necessary repairs to material and completing relevant paperwork in order to keep correct documentation of records.
- Participate in monitoring slit width, labeling of products and cleaning machine parts.
- Continually review supplies and report to your Supervisor any shortages.
- Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
- Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
- Will at times be asked to perform other duties.
Qualifications
- GED/High School Diploma or previous manufacturing experience
- Satisfactorily complete 3 months on-the-job training
Typical Physical Demands - Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a continuous basis.
