About the role

• Participate in monitoring slitter equipment to ensure material is cut corresponding to the agreed customer requirements and material meets Quality Control requirements.

What you'll do

• Read construction sheet and customer requirement sheet fully in order to meet the customer requirements.
• Inspects rolls to be coated, inspects for broken needles in felt, inspects for buildup of felt and any other issues that may occur.
• Assisting co-workers in machine setups.
• Inspects rolls after they have been coated for quality defects.
• Assisting co-workers in wrapping material.
• Inspect material during the cutting process.
• Participate in reporting out of spec material to Quality Control Department and any quality problems to Supervisor immediately.
• Participate in making necessary repairs to material and completing relevant paperwork in order to keep correct documentation of records.
• Participate in monitoring slit width, labeling of products and cleaning machine parts.
• Continually review supplies and report to your Supervisor any shortages.
• Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
• Will at times be asked to perform other duties.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma or previous manufacturing experience
• Satisfactorily complete 3 months on-the-job training

Typical Physical Demands - Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a continuous basis.
