Construction Siding Estimator at Proformance Roofing – Dallas, Georgia

ProFormance Builder Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Siding Estimator to join our team. The Siding Estimator will play a crucial role in our organization by accurately estimating project costs and providing valuable insights to support decision-making across our siding and housewrap accounts.

This position requires hands-on estimating experience with residential and multi-family siding projects, preferably utilizing James Hardie or LP products.

This role would ideally be based at out of either our Atlanta, GA or Gaffney, SC branches (Hybrid).

Fully Remote applications will also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Project Estimation:
  Utilize advanced Excel skills and leading estimating software to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for siding and housewrap projects. Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and elevations to determine material quantities, take-offs, and labor requirements.
• Material & Labor Analysis:
  Conduct detailed take-offs for siding systems (James Hardie, LP SmartSide, vinyl, and fiber cement), trims, soffits, and housewrap materials. Identify labor efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and building codes.
• Bid Preparation:
  Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals, aligning with builder and client expectations. Verify accuracy of scope inclusions, exclusions, and pricing structures.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Sales Teams to review project scope, evaluate risks, and strategize optimal production and installation methods for siding projects.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Stay current on siding product innovations, installation methods, and pricing trends for James Hardie, LP SmartSide, and comparable systems to improve estimating precision and efficiency.
• Documentation:
  Maintain well-organized records of take-offs, estimates, bids, and revisions within company systems, ensuring traceability and alignment with company standards.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience will be considered.
• Experience:
  Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically within residential or multi-family siding. Experience with James Hardie or LP SmartSide systems is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with industry estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, or STACK).
• Analytical Skills:
  Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, elevations, and scopes to produce precise cost estimates.
• Communication:
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to internal teams, builders, and clients.
• Attention to Detail:
  High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, scope alignment, and risk mitigation.
• Team Player:
  Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and maintain positive relationships with builders and vendors.
• Time Management:
  Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Industry Knowledge:
  In-depth understanding of siding materials, housewrap systems, installation techniques, and manufacturer standards (James Hardie, LP, Tyvek, etc.).
