Full Time
Day Shift
Compensation: $42K - $66K per year

Position Summary

Supervises a team of specialists to support the maintenance of an organization's telecommunications system. Coordinates the installation and repairs of telecommunication equipment. Manages and delegates work orders and assignments. Helps solve and troubleshoot complex issues to mitigate the impact on the performance of the network. Identify and implement process improvements that lead to the implementation of modern technologies. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Security to supervise the telecommunications infrastructure; primary and back up telephone systems, telephone installations, telephone repairs, manage vendor/tech support, telephone system administrator, wireless communication, paging systems, call processing system/equipment, and communication barriers support & services. 30%
  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Security to monitor that the telecom operators are providing a customer-focused environment that provides optimal customer service support via telephone and frontline interactions. 30%
  • Supervise telecommunications call center and appointment scheduling staff. Monitor systems and provide suggestions to the Director of Security to enhance responsiveness and efficiency. 20%
  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Security to support emergency protocols and communications for critical and disaster affairs. Collaborate with the emergency management team and determine best practice. 20%

Work Experience:

One to three years of experience.

Position Qualifications:

Ability to demonstrate written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word/Excel).

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to handle high volumes of incoming calls.

Professional and courteous telephone etiquette.

Previous experience as an operator preferred.

Ability to type 30 wpm preferred.

Able to switch between multiple priorities effectively (multitasking).

Previous Hospital Call Center experience preferred.

Work with others collaboratively, cooperatively and in the spirit of teamwork.
