About This Position
TRANSPORTATION DRIVER
Core Requirements:
- Driver’s License: Must have a Class A driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
- Experience – must have a minimum of two years of transportation experience and a good driving record.
The Transport driver shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Drives truck over established route to deliver unloads and account for products of the dairy industry to customer’s place of business and distribution points.
Records transactions and prepares paperwork. Maintains proper logs and other information as required by the Company and D.O.T. Listens to and resolves service complaints.
He or she will be required to climb, crawl, and walk in an upright as well as a bent position to facilitate the following:
- Load and unload product at destination.
- Collect or pick up empty containers, rejected, or unsold merchandise. The transportation driver will have to stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually as well as drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift. Load and unload truck and carry merchandise.
- He or she will be required to work in very hot (100+ degrees) and very cool (less than 32 degrees) environments throughout the year.
- He or she will also be required to work outside, in whatever the conditions are, most of the time.
The successful candidate must keep the inside of the truck clean. Perform routine maintenance on the truck. Work and drive safely, courteously, and in an efficient manner.
