Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a Technical Architect on contract until December 24th, 2026 who will report to the Director of Architecture and Engineering. This role involves collaborating with internal Audi Red architecture team members and agency partners to evaluate and address business and technology requirements, formulate optimal practice solutions, and design state-of-the-art architecture and engineering systems across various business domains. The ideal candidate is a seasoned software engineer with multi-disciplinary architecture experience, who excels in mentoring teams, advocating for client needs while adhering to best practices and technical superiority.
We are open to remote candidates across Canada. You will be required to work EST hours.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business challenges, assess requirement feasibility, establish priorities, and develop architectural strategies and technology roadmaps.
- Prototype and validate potential technology solutions both independently and in team settings.
- Offer visionary insights on technological possibilities to business and technology leaders.
- Identify and act on modernization opportunities with clients.
- Guide solution architects and engineers in technical decision-making and uphold engineering standards across partner agencies.
- Design and implement sophisticated technology solutions to address complex, multi-industry client challenges.
- Oversee our agency partners execution and participate in client architecture forums.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience developing solutions ideally in react and node.js.
- 2+ years of technology experience in an enterprise, consulting, or a web-scale product company
- 2+ years of hands-on architecture experience. Solutioning, architecting and developing applications across multiple disciplines which can include backend microservices, micro frontend architecture, pipeline integrations, CMS systems, security, data and Devops.
- Understands and can implement thoughtful, scalable and technology best practices across both backend and frontend to deliver the best solution for your development team and the client.
- Great communication and analytical skills. Comfortable in communicating with executives and presenting to architecture review boards (ARB)
- Experience in designing distributed applications using cloud-based platforms
- Experience advising and leading a team of solution or domain specific architects
- Experience considering and executing security and compliance regulations that need to be adhered to when delivering for large scale clients or brands
- Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages, databases, integrations, etc. Ideally in a MERN stack.
- Experience with apollo, GraphQL and headless CMS integrations
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or similar field
- Experience working in a large global development ecosystem
- AWS or GCP certifications

Compensation
This role has an hourly range of $58.00 to $73.00 CAD.
Base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience identified through the interview process. In addition to base salary, we offer comprehensive benefits, paid vacation and additional benefits designed to support our team as they grow with us.
