Strathmore Landscape Contractors is hiring an Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of our national Facilities Management operations, including snow removal and landscape maintenance across a portfolio of commercial sites.

You will lead a team of Area Managers and work closely with our vendor partner network to deliver consistent, high-quality service to major commercial clients.

This is a leadership role for someone who knows the industry. The ideal candidate has experience managing snow or landscape operations, understands the demands of maintaining commercial sites through Canadian winters, and brings credibility with both field teams and vendor partners.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of Area Managers across a national portfolio
  • Provide operational support and coaching to field teams, including during active winter events
  • Manage vendor partner performance through site visits, data analysis, and direct engagement
  • Own the operational reporting cycle, including performance tracking, vendor scorecards, and billing oversight
  • Lead client meetings, including pre-season planning, post-event reviews, and escalations
  • Drive continuous improvement in field processes, safety, and service quality
  • Collaborate with Account Management and senior leadership on client relationships and growth initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and client requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • At least 2 years in snow removal, landscape maintenance, or commercial facilities management
  • Experience managing field supervisors or team leads
  • Strong operational judgment backed by hands-on industry experience
  • Comfortable working with data, including performance reports, billing, and operational metrics
  • Clear and professional communication skills in English
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel to the United States
Travel & Schedule

Travel is primarily within Ontario, with periodic travel across Canada. Winter travel is heavier (approximately 50–60%), with a lighter schedule in the summer (30–50%). This role includes on-call responsibilities during winter months, particularly during active snow events.
