Security Guard - 3rd Shift at CREATIVE WERKS LLC – Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Job Summary:

The Security Guard is responsible for safeguarding creative werks associates and property during assigned shifts. They will be stationed at the employee entrance of each facility to actively monitor the exterior and interior, ensuring the safety and security of incoming and outgoing associates, contractors, visitors, and truck drivers. Guards are expected to understand and enforce specific creative werks policies and conduct themselves in a professional manner as a front-line representative of creative werks.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Monitor security cameras and extract footage for safety and security investigations
• Call for and professionally interface with local law enforcement
• Check in vendors, contractors, and truck drivers
• Administer GMP and safety training to contractors prior to their admittance to the facility
• Greet associates and manage the flow of associate check-in and check-out at the beginning and end of each shift
• Inspect the interior and exterior of the facility on a daily basis
• Participate in facility safety practices with the creative werks safety team, such as safety inspections and communication of safety policies
• Complete shift reports and shift-change reports
• Maintain first-aid equipment and fire extinguishers
• Manage sky-jack lift checkout
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
• Ability to remain vigilant with a high level of awareness and de-escalation aptitude
• Ability to understand and enforce company security policies
• Ability to maintain composure and remain calm in stressful situations
• Must be reliable and diligent with work assignments
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus

Education and Experience:

• PERC Card
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of food facility security experience
• First aid certified or willingness to be certified in first aid

Working Conditions:

• Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees
• This position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the business
• This employee will spend significant time outside during all seasons requiring proper winter clothes, which may be provided by creative werks

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to operate computer and security camera system
• Must have the ability perform walking inspections of exterior and interior of facility on a daily basis
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment
• Reach with hands and arms
• Lift up to 25 pounds
