This is a senior finance leadership role responsible for building and scaling the financial backbone of a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare technology organization. The Director of Finance will oversee end-to-end financial operations, including planning, forecasting, accounting, compliance, and business performance analysis. This role plays a critical part in shaping strategic decisions by delivering accurate insights, robust financial models, and executive-level reporting. The environment is dynamic and evolving, requiring a leader who can bring structure, discipline, and clarity while the organization continues to scale. In addition to core finance responsibilities, the role extends into cross-functional business operations, supporting contract negotiations, HR oversight, and strategic initiatives. - Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range modeling to support business strategy and growth.
- Develop and maintain financial models, KPIs, and performance dashboards to guide executive decision-making.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Oversee treasury activities, including cash management, capital planning, and liquidity oversight.
- Lead contract negotiations with customers, vendors, and service providers, ensuring financial and operational alignment.
- Support HR, regulatory filings, business licensing, and other operational finance-related functions.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, operating model decisions, and growth planning.
- Build, manage, and develop a small but high-performing finance team in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
- Strong expertise in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and audit readiness with a proven track record of clean audits.
- Extensive FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial systems, processes, and internal controls in scaling organizations.
- Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting to boards, investors, and senior leadership.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with high ownership and accountability.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated industries is a plus.
- Competitive base salary: $130,000 – $150,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility
