As a Platform Architect, you play a critical role in shaping and governing a specific technology platform domain ensuring consistency, integration, and alignment with enterprise standards while enabling delivery teams to move faster with confidence.
The Role
As a Senior Platform Architect, you provide architectural leadership for a defined platform domain (such as cloud, identity, or core infrastructure services). You establish standards, reference architectures, and patterns while partnering closely with delivery teams, vendors, and business capability owners. You do not own day-to-day operations or project management-instead, you enable scalable, secure, and well-governed solutions across initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain platform reference architectures, standards, and design patterns.
- Provide architectural guidance to project and product teams to ensure solutions align with platform strategy.
- Evaluate solution designs for compliance with security, reliability, scalability, and integration standards.
- Partner with Architects, BSAs, and Project Managers to support solution intent development and technical feasibility.
- Represent the platform domain in Architecture Review Board (ARB) discussions and provide impact assessments.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to influence platform roadmaps and technology direction.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and technical constraints early and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure architectural documentation and repositories remain current, clear, and decision-ready.
- Mentor solution architects and engineers within the platform domain.

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of experience in platform, solution, or domain architecture roles.
- Experience working with enterprise platforms and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with architecture governance and review processes.
- Hands-on experience with modeling and documentation tools (e.g., Ardoq, Visio, Lucidchart).
