About This Position
Tax Manager - High Net Worth - Nashville, TN
Who: A CPA with at least five years of public accounting experience and specialized expertise in trust, estate, gift, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
What: Performs final technical reviews, leads tax engagements, manages staff, and provides expert guidance on estate, trust, and gift tax matters.
When: Full-time position available immediately.
Where: Nashville, TN

Position Overview:
The Tax Manager – Estates, Trusts & High-Net-Worth leads complex compliance and planning engagements, oversees technical reviews, mentors staff, and strengthens client relationships while ensuring exceptional quality and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide final technical review on tax returns and related documents across the client base.
- Research complex tax issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Stay current on changes in tax legislation and accounting procedures.
- Direct, schedule, and manage client engagements to ensure timely completion.
- Communicate with clients to support their best interests and deliver exceptional service.
- Lead and support staff and supervisors by providing resources, guidance, and a positive work environment.
- Monitor the quality of completed work and team performance.
- Assign, track, and manage tasks and projects completed by staff and supervisors.
- Take an active role in developing and mentoring team members.
- Build and nurture internal and external relationships to support business development opportunities.
- Oversee billing, collections, WIP monitoring, aging, and write-downs.
- Participate in internal CPE and training initiatives.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of five years of public accounting experience.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Forms 1041, 706, and 709, as well as high-net-worth 1040 returns and related planning.
- Demonstrated leadership and staff development skills.
- Strong decision-making capabilities with initiative.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Excellent organization and ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
