About This Position

Job Purpose

The Product Stewardship Specialist I is part of the overall BG Compliance team and provides entry level knowledge and support to the Product Stewardship Department to ensure regulatory compliance of BG Products safety data sheet program, product labeling guidance and their subsequent regulatory compliance requirements. This position collaborates closely with the Product Stewardship Manager, Product Stewardship Specialists and with various stakeholders within BG Products.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Demonstrates consistent adherence to company policies and maintains a professional, positive demeanor at all times.

· Prepares entry-level Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.

· Provides regulatory guidance on product labeling and packaging requirements to ensure regulatory and brand alignment.

· Applies foundational knowledge of global health, safety, packaging, labeling, reporting, and transportation regulations to support product compliance activities.

· Ensures full compliance with global labeling, hazard communication, and reporting/registration regulations, including OSHA, CLP/EU REACH, K-REACH, DOT, and related agencies.

· Delivers internal and external customer support related to regulatory compliance for finished goods and raw materials.

· Contributes to the review, development, and continuous improvement of product stewardship practices, including regulatory tracking, research, and other assigned initiatives.

· Supports company-wide compliance efforts by compiling required data and assisting with preparation and submission of reports such as VOC CARB/OTC, EPA/CDR, TSCA 12(b), NDSL, and others to appropriate regulatory bodies.

· Works cooperatively with team members, internal partners, and external suppliers, contributing to a culture of trust, openness, and shared success. Communicates with clarity, respect, and professionalism, maintaining a constructive, non-combative approach even in complex or high-pressure situations.

· Assists in identifying potential compliance risks and recommends corrective actions or process improvements to mitigate risk and ensure timely compliance.

· Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline required. Degrees in other life sciences may be considered with relevant experience in hazard communication, regulatory compliance, or product stewardship.

· A minimum of one (1+) or more years of experience in a corporate regulatory environment required.

· DOT/IMDG/IATA Certification.
