Web & UI Designer (E-Commerce + AI-Driven) at Bamboo Works – Manila
About This Position
We are looking for a Web-Focused E-Commerce Designer who bridges the gap between high-end aesthetics and high-conversion performance. While you have a strong graphic design foundation, your primary expertise lies in crafting digital experiences—specifically Shopify stores, high-converting landing pages, and interactive web elements.
In this role, you will leverage AI tools to accelerate your workflow, allowing you to focus on the strategic UX/UI decisions that drive measurable growth for our e-commerce partners.
Engagement: Part-Time (20 hrs/week) → Potential to scale to Full-Time
Schedule: Flexible, with overlap in CET
Monthly Budget: $900 (based on a 20-hour workweek, depending on level of experience)What You’ll Do
Web & UI/UX Design
Digital Storefronts: Design high-performing Shopify layouts, focusing on product detail pages (PDPs), homepages, and collections.
Conversion-First UX: Create wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma with a deep focus on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).
Mobile-First Design: Ensure every web asset is perfectly optimized for the mobile shopping experience.
Component Systems: Build and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries to ensure visual consistency across web flows.
Brand & Digital Identity
Web Identity: Translate brand guidelines into digital-first visual languages (typography, color systems, and UI patterns).
Iterative Testing: Create variations of web elements (buttons, banners, navigation) for A/B testing and performance analysis.
AI-Enhanced Workflow
Asset Generation: Use AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, etc.) to rapidly generate high-quality lifestyle imagery and web backgrounds.
Workflow Optimization: Integrate AI into your design process to speed up retouching, layout exploration, and content variation.
- Experience: 4+ years of professional design experience, with a heavy emphasis on E-commerce Web Design.
- Technical Stack: Mastery of Figma (Auto-layout, components, prototyping) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- UX/UI Knowledge: Strong understanding of user psychology, heatmaps, and e-commerce conversion funnels.
- AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience using AI (Midjourney, etc.) to enhance or generate design assets.
- Platform Familiarity: Deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem and its technical design constraints.
- Experience working with Shopify or Shopify Plus.
- Basic motion design skills (After Effects or similar).
- High-Performing Layouts: Launching landing pages and store sections that show a measurable lift in conversion rates.
- Figma Excellence: Delivery of organized, developer-ready files that follow modern web standards.
- Speed & Quality: Leveraging AI to maintain a fast-paced output without sacrificing the "premium" feel of the brands.
- Self-Direction: Taking a project from a rough wireframe to a polished, live-ready web design with minimal hand-holding.
