About This Position
Good Harvest Market is Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural and organic grocer. We are seeking to hire a part-time line cook for our onsite restaurant and deli, Hop Harvest & Vine.
Evening and weekend availability is required. Hop Harvest & Vine is open for dinner service Wednesday through Saturday, and these are the shifts we need more coverage for. The latest our kitchen offers food service is 7:30pm, with the kitchen closing at 2pm Sunday through Tuesday.
Our farm-to-table, community public house restaurant concept includes a bar and updated menu focusing on locally sourced, organic and seasonal ingredients. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch and make our menu items from scratch.

Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing recipes from our full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus (see link to our menu above)
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and compliance with health code regulations
- Proper knife skills, ability to work safely at a fast pace
- Strong customer service skills
- Maintain a clean and well stocked kitchen
- Work well within our team
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
- Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and safe & efficient knife handling skills
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow cooking directions
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials
- Flexible full-time availability, including evenings and weekends
Physical Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years or older.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Must be able to lift and carry weights of between 5 - 40 lbs.
- Requires long periods of standing.
- Must be able to use heated wrapper.
- Work involves controlled temperatures, including ovens and freezers.
