SUMMARY: The Traveling Hardware Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support for installations, repairs, and maintenance of Genesis Gaming tracking system hardware. The ideal candidate for the Traveling Hardware Technician position will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with basic carpentry and hand-tools, and will have the flexibility to travel frequently- often at short notice. Extensive travel is required, along with occasional extended stays based on project needs. Effective communication skills, adaptability and commitment to quality service are essential for the Traveling Hardware Technician.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Travels to customer properties to install tracking system hardware on pit and poker tables.
- Installs hardware on pit and poker tables at the Genesis Gaming warehouse, prior to shipment.
- Ensures the customer is fully satisfied with installation and maintenance, prior to departing the customer’s property.
- Openly communicates to supervisor for any technical or service-related issues that need additional support.
- Provides daily status updates to Sales Executive and Productions Team for every install.
- Keeps an eye open for opportunities to improve processes or products and shares the feedback with the Products and Service department.
- Completes all installs and maintenance in a timely and efficient manner, controlling unnecessary costs.
- Submits expense reports for all jobs timely to ensure accurate customer billing and company cost control.
- Follows all Per Diem allowance limits and guidelines.
- Follows state driving laws when driving and/or renting a car while on company business.
- Is always a positive representation of Genesis Gaming while at casinos; ensuring that behavior is always kept considerate, ethical and within company policy.
- Assists in other departments as needed, by request.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Possesses basic carpentry skills, such as drilling and routing, and can efficiently operate basic hand tools.
- Possesses good time management kills, organizational skills, and written and oral communication skills.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In some jurisdictions, Gaming Commissions will request extensive documentation such as finances, background checks, etc. before becoming licensed and able to enter certain gaming establishments.
- A successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a background and drug testing prior to being hired.
WORK AUTHORIZATION & LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- This position requires full-time, on-site presence at our Las Vegas, NV Warehouse.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
