CHMC – Wound Care Clinic RN -Per Diem-Day Shift-8a-4p- Req 9294

Pay Range: $39.61-$56.12

Job Summary:

The Wound Healing Center Clinic RN performs the primary function of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients in an ambulatory, wound healing center in collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator, Program Director, and center physicians/providers. This position is responsible for meeting the established Wound Center Standards of nursing practice in the management of all assigned patients. Demonstration of ongoing professional growth is mandatory. Assists physicians with the development and implementation of wound treatment plans and participates in performance improvement review activities. Acts within the guidelines of federal and state laws, DNV Standards and professional and ethical practice.

Qualifications:

• Current registered nurse New York State licensure.

• Current BLS certification.

• 3-years med/surg, CCU, ED or other related nursing experience

• Strong patient teaching skills and an interest in wound care

• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span with the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.

• Sustained efforts to maintain current knowledge base regarding professional and practice issues.

Preferred Experience:

• 2 years minimum of Wound Care clinic experience
