Quality Engineer in Thief River Falls, Minnesota at Arctic Cat

Whether you are new to Quality Engineering, or very experienced, we have a place for you. Exact requirements, responsibilities and compensation will depend on your knowledge and experience.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Conduct field audits and vendor evaluations and investigate manufacturing or field issues as needed.
• Maintain quality assurance objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize defects, field failures, scrap, and rework.
• Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s including parts per million (PPM), line disruptions and days to close non-conforming material tickets (NCMT).
• Develop, initiate and/or maintain implemented standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.
• Facilitate the deployment of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues as well as customer complaints through the coordination of cross-functional teams.
• Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
• Seek and recommend ways to improve product and process capability based on company metrics.
• Provide technical support and information to other departments, vendors and customers as requested based on data collected from company metrics, vendor metrics and inspection data.
• Depending on experience, plan and direct and/or execute on activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for inspection processes and materials.
• Lead or be a resource to small team of Quality Inspectors to ensure processes are followed and production is fully supported.

Qualifications for Quality Engineer Level I:

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering required
• 0-2 years of experience in Engineering
• Microsoft Office Applications, CAD, ERP/MRP preferred
• Ability to read part/assembly blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred

Qualifications for Quality Engineer Level II+

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering required
• 2-5 years of experience (Level II); 5+ years of experience (Level III)
• Microsoft Office Applications, CAD, ERP/MRP
• Ability to read part/assembly blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
