This role is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented accounting professional with hands-on experience in US construction accounting. You will play a key role in managing project financials, ensuring accurate billing, and supporting cash flow management for multiple construction projects. The position involves preparing SOVs, tracking retainage, and handling progress billings while maintaining audit-ready financial records. You will work closely with project teams and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and provide accurate job costing insights. This remote role requires someone comfortable working independently, meeting tight deadlines, and operating in alignment with US business hours. Your work will directly impact the financial health and operational efficiency of ongoing construction projects, providing both strategic and operational value.
Prepare and manage construction billings, including SOVs (Schedule of Values) and retainage.
Track, reconcile, and monitor retainage receivables and payables for projects.
Process progress billings accurately and ensure timely submission to clients.
Support project-level financial tracking and job costing analysis.
Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end close processes.
Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records and documentation.
Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant in a US construction environment.
Proven expertise with retainage management and SOV/progress billings (mandatory).
Strong understanding of construction accounting workflows and project-level financial tracking.
High attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
