This role is a high-impact engineering leadership position focused on building and scaling secure software delivery infrastructure across a large, distributed technology organization. You will lead teams responsible for source control systems, build pipelines, and artifact management platforms that power the entire engineering ecosystem. The work sits at the intersection of platform engineering, security, and developer productivity, ensuring that software is delivered efficiently without compromising safety or compliance. You will define the long-term strategy for secure supply chain capabilities and drive modernization initiatives across CI/CD and DevOps tooling. Partnering closely with Security, Compliance, and Product Engineering leaders, you will help establish enterprise-wide standards for secure development practices. This is a remote-first role offering the opportunity to shape foundational systems that impact thousands of engineers globally.
In this role, you will lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of secure software supply chain platforms, ensuring scalable, reliable, and compliant engineering systems across the organization.
- Lead and grow a team of platform engineers responsible for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and artifact management systems.
- Define and execute the long-term vision for secure software supply chain infrastructure across the enterprise.
- Partner with Security, Compliance, and Engineering leadership to implement robust security controls, policies, and standards.
- Drive operational excellence through metrics, SLOs, automation, and continuous platform improvement.
- Oversee modernization efforts across build systems, deployment pipelines, and developer tooling ecosystems.
- Enable self-service capabilities and platform scalability to improve developer velocity and consistency.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and align technical roadmaps with broader business and engineering goals.
- Guide budget planning, vendor selection, and platform investment decisions.
This position requires a seasoned engineering leader with deep technical expertise in platform infrastructure and secure software delivery practices, combined with strong people management and cross-functional influence skills.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure roles.
- 4+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 8–12+ engineers.
- Strong background in developer platforms, CI/CD systems, source control (e.g., Git-based systems), and artifact repositories.
- Experience designing or managing secure software supply chain systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, container security, and modern DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Security and Compliance teams in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Strong leadership skills including coaching, hiring, performance management, and team development.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across technical and executive audiences.
- Experience driving large-scale platform migrations or modernization initiatives.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term architecture with near-term delivery.
- Competitive base salary with a range typically between $207,200 and $304,600+ depending on location and level
