Control Tower Specialist- 2nd Shift at Schnellecke – Huntsville, Alabama

Position Summary:

The Control Tower Specialist role is responsible for coordinating communication, monitoring order flow, and supporting operational execution within the control tower, dispatch, and inventory functions. This position ensures accurate processing of delivery information, timely handling of expedited orders, and alignment between internal teams and the customer.

The Control Tower Specialist serves as a key operational support role, maintaining visibility across logistics activities while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and process standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain consistent communication with the customer regarding delivery notes, updates, and order status
• Ensure all expedited orders are processed and picked in a timely manner
• Verify that all delivery documentation is accurate, complete, and properly printed
• Monitor control tower activities and escalate operational issues to Supervisor or Manager as needed
• Support dispatch, inventory, and control tower teams across functions when required
• Follow all standard operating procedures, training guidelines, and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate communication and coordination across internal teams and leadership
• Ensure adherence to Schnellecke safety standards, including proper use of PPE at all times

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel required
• SAP experience with inbound and outbound processes preferred
• RFID familiarity preferred
• Strong customer service orientation with effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screening

Work Environment:
• Warehouse and office environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
• Continuous interaction with internal teams, leadership, and external customers
• Use of computers, laptops, and communication devices required
• Personal Protective Equipment must be worn while on the shop floor and yard
