Sr Technical Project Manager - Wireless Infrastructure Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale wireless infrastructure deployments for enterprise and campus environments. This role is responsible for managing both greenfield and non-greenfield initiatives, with a focus on in-building wireless (IBW) solutions, including cellular and public safety systems, as well as select outdoor coverage applications. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Distributed Radio Access Networks (DRAN), Radio Access Networks (RAN), public safety systems, and repeater technologies, along with a proven ability to deliver complex, multi-site programs from concept through on-air activation. This role serves as the primary executive interface for clients, internal leadership, mobile network operators (MNOs), AHJs, and strategic partners—driving excellence across safety, schedule, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and operational execution.
Sr Technical Project Manager - Wireless Infrastructure Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and resource plans
- Lead full lifecycle delivery from requirements development through deployment, integration, and closeout
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, milestones, and deliverables
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Establish and execute communication plans, project documentation standards, and submittals
Customer & Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications, escalations, and issue resolution
- Build strong client relationships through proactive engagement and service excellence
- Facilitate regular project meetings, stakeholder reviews, and executive briefings
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations and project delivery
Post-Install Account Management:
- Maintain ownership of customer relationships following system acceptance
- Support ongoing system performance, issue resolution, and service coordination
- Identify opportunities for system expansion, upgrades, and additional services
- Partner with sales and leadership to drive repeat business and long-term account growth
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Partner with internal teams (engineering, construction, leasing) and external stakeholders to ensure integrated execution
- Drive collaboration across business and technical functions to achieve project success
Compliance, Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks using established project management methodologies
- Track issues, dependencies, and contingencies; drive timely resolution
- Evaluate scope changes and forecast cost and schedule impacts
- Maintain program-level risk registers, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure OSHA/industry compliance and escalate critical risks with recommendations
Financial & Operational Accountability:
- Own program budgets, forecasting, and cost control processes
- Lead change order negotiations and scope management
- Ensure strong financial governance across multi-site deployments, including invoicing, POs, and job costing
Schedule & Deployment Acceleration:
- Manage critical path planning and milestone tracking
- Implement proactive strategies to prevent delays and maintain schedule integrity
- Lead recovery planning and escalation management when necessary
- Optimize resource allocation across engineering, construction, and integration teams
Vendor & Partner Management:
- Oversee general contractors, subcontractors, and integration partners (in line with the construction manager)
- Define the scopes of work, performance expectations, and accountability standards
- Enforce quality assurance protocols and industry best practices
- Build and maintain strong, long-term partner relationships
Reporting & Executive Engagement:
- Deliver structured reporting on project performance, risks, and financials
- Develop executive dashboards and performance metrics
- Represent the organization in high-level venue/end-user, carrier, and regulatory engagements
- Support strategic discussions with municipalities (AHJ’s, city representatives), utilities (LEC’s, etc), and other pertinent agencies

Sr Technical Project Manager - Wireless Infrastructure Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project or program management experience within the wireless telecommunications industry
Sr Technical Project Manager - Wireless Infrastructure Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of DAS, fiber networks, RF systems, and wireless infrastructure.
- Experience with large venue public safety systems and in-building wireless deployments required.
- Familiarity with major OEM platforms and carrier requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel (advanced), Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand iBwave Design drawings and reports upon review
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial tracking processes.
