POSITION: Golf Shop Retail Associate

REPORTS TO: Tyler Smith, PGA Head Golf Professional

EMPLOYMENT DESCRIPTION:

• Seasonal position - 30-40 hours per week availability
• Maintain a visible presence in the Golf Shop and on the sales floor
• Promote goodwill and exceptional hospitality to members and guests
• Maintain a clean, refreshed, uncluttered, and organized Golf Shop and storage room
• Assist with all aspects of special-order program including timely communication with the customer
• Assist with monthly inventory
• Update and maintain all vendor contact information when necessary
• Assist with the receipt of incoming merchandise and tagging corresponding merchandise
• Change mannequins and displays
• Learn and understand the rules of the club to have the ability to answer the telephone to reserve tee times, lessons, and assist with tournament signups.
• Dress professionally and maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with staff grooming standards
• Other duties as provided

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Retail experience preferred
• Must possess a friendly and positive personality with a focus on building relationships with members and staff
• Mandatory computer expertise; proficient in Microsoft Word/Publisher/PowerPoint/Excel
• Possess excellent communications skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time
• Basic golf knowledge is preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $20.00 Per Hour
• Uniforms provided
• Complimentary lunch provided while on duty
• Golf privileges on specific days
