Accountabilities:

Architect, design, and implement scalable backend solutions in Python, leveraging AWS cloud services and modern distributed systems practices.
Develop and optimize AI- and LLM-driven workflows to streamline analysis and accelerate customer outcomes.
Build, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments.
Lead the evolution of infrastructure and system architecture to ensure performance, scalability, and security compliance.
Collaborate closely with product managers and data scientists to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
Create proofs-of-concept and prototypes to validate ideas, then transition them into robust production systems.
Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, documentation, and peer reviews to ensure maintainable and extensible solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent practical experience).
At least 5 years of backend development experience building production-grade Python applications and APIs.
Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, including deployment, monitoring, and optimization of production systems.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, ORMs, task queues, and relational/NoSQL databases.
Solid understanding of Linux systems, testing methodologies (unit, integration, functional), and Agile/Scrum practices.
Demonstrated experience designing and documenting complex system architectures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Nice to have: experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Elasticsearch, LLM frameworks, and mentoring engineers in scalable software design.
