Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Modeler to join our team and contribute to high-impact projects focused on the development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of air quality models.
Minimum Qualifications:

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Modeler to join our team and contribute to high-impact projects focused on the development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of air quality models.
- Conduct air quality model simulations and prepare model evaluation products
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate modeling results
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including atmospheric scientists and emissions modeling experts
- Stay updated with the latest developments in air quality modeling and tools
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in computer science, meteorology, atmospheric science, or other scientific/mathematical field + 3 years of experience
- Experience with air quality models, such as the CMAQ modeling system
- Data analysis and visualization experience with Python or R
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux operating system environment and proficiency with scripting languages
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with air quality model evaluation and analysis tools
- Strong analytical skills and expertise with observational datasets and GIS tools
- Experience with the CAMx model
- Publications or technical reports in air quality modeling
- Familiarity with coupled atmospheric models (e.g., WRF-CMAQ)
