Maintenance Supervisor at Web Industries Inc – Dayville, Connecticut
About This Position
Under the direction of the Process Engineer, is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems. Performs the work of employees and other duties as required.
• Manage maintenance personnel by providing work direction for subordinates, including but not limited to, scheduling work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, communicating information, and coaching and counseling subordinates.
• Schedule and provide production support, including but not limited to, processes, material handling, quality, etc.
• Maintain up to date maintenance records and files on all equipment.
• Maintain contacts with vendors to requisition services, materials, and supplies for department and monitor a sufficient inventory.
• Implement engineering designs and modifications
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety rules and requirements.
• General repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves
• Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors.
• Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.
• Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
• Schedule with production machine down time for maintenance repairs and modifications.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
• Assist in repair and maintenance of machines and equipment when required by manpower shortage or lack of training.

Two years of college level course work in business, management, engineering, or a related
field.
Four years of increasingly responsible facility maintenance experience including some lead supervisory experience.
