Job Title: Commercial – Retread Technician

This position is third shift and has typical work hours Sunday – Thursday from 11:00 pm - 7 am
Job Summary:
The Retread Technician is responsible for performing retreading tasks on commercial truck tires as assigned by the Retread Plant Manager. Employees in this position will primarily be working inside the warehouse and must be focused on both safety and production quality.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Retread Technicians will be trained in the following areas:
- Skiving
- Filling Skives
- Chamber (Mount/Load and Dismount/Unload)
- Tire Repair
- Material Handling
- Tread Application
- Chamber Operation
- Initial Inspection
- Final Inspection
- Buffer/Builder Operation
- Must be willing to be certified and maintain certification in the Bandag Master Craftsman Program and other Bandag certificate programs.
- Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
- Maintain high quality workmanship and inform the Plant Manager of production problems as they occur.
- Train personnel in specific areas assigned by manager.
- Keep the retread plant area clean to enhance a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment

Required Physical Abilities:
Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
Work Environment:
This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.
