Security Officer (3rd shift) at New Cibo Vita LLC – Totowa, New Jersey

The 3rd Shift Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment during overnight hours. This role involves monitoring facilities, conducting routine patrols, enforcing company policies, and responding to incidents or alarms as needed. The officer must be dependable, observant, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the facility to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity
Monitor access points and ensure all doors, gates, and secured areas remain properly locked
Enforce company security policies and procedures during overnight operations
Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and other security equipment
Respond promptly to alarms, safety concerns, or security incidents
Document all incidents, patrols, and unusual activity in daily shift reports
Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or suspicious behavior to management
Provide assistance to authorized employees, contractors, or emergency responders as needed
Maintain a professional and alert presence at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required

Requirements
1+ year of security experience
Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as assigned
Strong observation and communication skills
Ability to remain alert and focused during extended overnight shifts
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
Must be able to work independently and follow post orders

Physical & Mental Requirements
Ability to conduct foot patrols throughout the facilities
Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
This position may require background checks and drug screening in accordance with company policy
Uniform and training will be provided.
