Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer at Ninyo & Moore – Austin, Texas

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company is seeking a Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer to join our new Austin, Texas office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, working closely with clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
• Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
• Coordinate and participate in field activities, including:
  • Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
  • Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
  • Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
• Perform engineering analyses, including:
  • Foundation design and evaluation
  • Slope stability analysis
  • Settlement analysis
• Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
• Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians

Education

• B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
• M.S. in related field preferred

Required Skills & Experience

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting
• Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects preferred
• Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
