SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To verify accurate receipt of all incoming freight against computer orders, whether the product is for outgoing orders or to be used in the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the function of the Receiving Clerk, may be assigned and are incorporated by reference into this job description.

• Responsible for receipt of all Federal Express and UPS boxes and for delivery to the proper party.;
• Responsible for modifications on receiving documents by the number of products received versus that which was ordered and communicating errors such as UPC errors to Supervisor and/or Inventory Control.;
• Responsible for using radio frequency terminal to record receiving operations into the computer system;
• Responsible for the accurate receipt of all products and for reporting errors or differences to the proper party;
• Responsible for noting and entering on Radio Frequency the expiration dates on products;
• Reports to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse 1st Shift Supervisor, and completes all duties in a timely manner;
• Performs the above-listed duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively;
• Responsible for communicating problems, errors, and safety issues to Supervisor. All personnel within this job description shall be subject to cross-training into jobs within the organization based on Company needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands of this job include light physical activity performing light strenuous activities of an administrative, productive, and/or technical nature that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is required to talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands or arms. The employee must regularly lift up to 10 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must regularly work in wet humid conditions in outdoor weather conditions. The employee must occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate.
