About the Role:
The Kitchen Prep/Line Cook (QD) plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen by preparing ingredients and cooking menu items to the highest standards. This position requires attention to detail, speed, and consistency to meet the demands of a fast-paced culinary environment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining food quality, safety, and presentation while supporting the kitchen team in delivering an exceptional dining experience. They will be responsible for following recipes, managing inventory of prep items, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in their work area. Ultimately, this role is essential in helping the kitchen meet customer expectations and operational goals through reliable and skilled food preparation and cooking.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a prep or line cook role.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary school training or certification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring spices according to recipe specifications.
- Cook menu items on the line, ensuring proper timing, temperature, and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep and cooking stations throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Support the kitchen team by performing additional tasks as needed, such as dishwashing or restocking supplies.
