The Warehouse Manager responsibilities include achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in warehouse management; including but not limited to attracting, retaining, engaging, and effectively developing a team to achieve daily warehouse objectives through applied processes in receiving, stocking, pulling, packing, assembling, sorting and shipping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, communicate, monitor, and enforce effective parts department processes to ensure an accurate inventory through the best of practices ensuring an Elite Customer experience.
  • Attract, retain, engage, and effectively develop a professional work force focused on the warehouse operations.
  • Develop and manage a succession plan for identifying and developing future leaders, not just for direct reports but for major roles at all levels within the organization.
  • Coach warehouse team to continuously improve operations of receiving, stocking, pulling, packing, assembling, sorting, and shipping through personal involvement in the day-to-day activities and daily review in team huddles.
  • Work closely with the Materials Manager to ensure procedures, rules, and regulations are followed.
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, clean warehouse using the 5S process.
  • Assist with inventory control to continue accurate counts at all times.
  • Complete reports by entering required information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing, balancing, bending, or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Must have corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
  • Requires the ability to work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
  • Require lift trucks certification and basic knowledge of warehousing equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.
  • Understand the importance of efficiency in all daily activities.
  • Requires a sense of urgency and have the ability to instill that in others.
  • Understand the importance of deadlines.
  • Requires a strong understanding of inventory workflow.
  • Multitask and prioritize.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent customer relations and teamwork abilities while upholding a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations.
  • Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people and may be frequently called upon to handle difficult situations.
  • Able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Must have a long attention span in order to listen to people, perceive the real problems and bring issues to a successful conclusion.
  • Requires the ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
  • Must be able to understand people and be able to communicate effectively with them.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
