Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented **QA Receiving Inspector*
* to join our Quality team in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring that all incoming components and labels meet strict quality, regulatory, and customer standards before entering production.
You will play a key role in protecting product integrity by performing inspections, making quality disposition decisions, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform **sampling and inspection of incoming components and labels*
* per cGMP and company procedures
* Conduct **detailed visual and physical inspections*
* to verify compliance with specifications
* Make **accept/reject (disposition) decisions*
* and document results accurately
* Inspect labels for **print quality, accuracy, and defects*
* against approved specifications
* Coordinate with **Quality Product Specialist*
* for regulatory review and approval of labels
* Maintain **accurate, traceable records*
* of inspections and sampling activities
* Partner with **QA, QC, Regulatory, and Warehouse teams*
* to resolve non-conformances
* Support **continuous improvement initiatives*
* within receiving inspection processes
* Follow all **GMP, safety, and OSHA guidelines**
* Maintain a **clean, organized inspection area**
Qualifications
**Education & Experience**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years in a **manufacturing environment*
* (food, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical preferred)
**Skills & Competencies**
* Strong **attention to detail*
* and documentation accuracy
* Working knowledge of **GMP (cGMP preferred)**
* Effective **written and verbal communication skills**
* Experience with **quality systems, ERP, or document management systems**
* Ability to work **independently and in a team-oriented environment**
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
* Standing for extended periods
* Frequent lifting (20–25 lbs)
* Exposure to **powders, allergens, and manufacturing materials**
* Work performed in a **packaging/label inspection area**

* 21 CFR 111 (Dietary Supplement cGMP)
* FSSC 22000 Food Safety Standards
