This role focuses on driving sales and customer growth across specialty beverage accounts on the West Coast, including top foodservice chains and regional beverage-focused businesses. You will manage customer relationships at all levels, develop and execute strategic account plans, and identify opportunities to expand customized and branded product offerings. Working cross-functionally, you will leverage insights, technologies, and resources to provide innovative, value-added solutions that meet customer menu needs and support business growth. This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, strategic planning, and revenue generation. You will play a key role in shaping customer experiences, optimizing sales execution, and delivering measurable results across a diverse portfolio. Travel up to 50% is required, with the flexibility to operate remotely while collaborating with multi-functional teams.
- Manage and grow existing accounts by expanding menu usage and defending customized and branded business
- Identify and develop new opportunities within targeted accounts, providing value-added solutions to meet customer needs
- Create and execute sales market plans and manage sales execution within approved spending levels
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels, aligning strategies with customer goals, objectives, and culture
- Lead pricing strategies, new product development projects, and cross-functional initiatives to optimize account performance
- Analyze business trends and pipeline opportunities to inform growth strategy and decision-making
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver best-in-class service and maximize the impact of company technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, business, marketing, or related field required
- 5+ years of experience managing Top 200 chain customers in a foodservice sales role
- Background in beverage applications such as coffee, smoothies, teas, energy drinks, and mocktails
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; able to integrate communications into the sales process
- Experience managing new product development from concept to commercialization
- Salesforce.com experience is a plus
- Location ideally in the Midwest or West; availability to travel up to 50%
