Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, full-time Medical Assistant to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Edison Office. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supervising and supporting medical assistants, ensuring high-quality patient care, coordinating clinical workflows, and serving as a liaison between staff and providers. Job Title: Medical Assistant
Salary/Pay Rate: $19-20/ hour, depending on specialty and experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time

Job Title Duties (not limited to):
Prepare exam and treatment rooms, including setting up supplies and instruments
Prepare patients for physician visits and examinations, assisting providers as directed
Perform patient intake and accurately document medical histories
Demonstrate understanding of the proper use, function, and care of specialized medical equipment
Call in prescriptions as directed by providers
Prepare injections according to clinical protocols
Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record
Assist with bracing or casting when needed
Take and relay messages for physicians in a timely and accurate manner
Assist with physician messages and follow-up communication
Complete appeals and disability forms (preferred but not required)
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively and supportively with diverse patient populations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Proficiency with computerized systems and accurate data entry
