Luther Lanard has an open position for an attorney with at least 4 years of experience who wants to take cases to trial and is ready to take ownership of their caseload. You'll have the opportunity to learn the dispute side of franchise law—no prior franchise experience required. We provide structured training and mentorship to get you up to speed.

Reasonable Expectations

Target 1,800 billable hours annually (including 100 creditable non-billable hours), with plenty of room for growth and performance-based bonuses. You'll also receive origination credit for the business you bring in.

Work from home on Fridays. We trust you to manage your time and deliver results without micromanagement. For experienced candidates, we are open to discussing even more of a hybrid schedule.

What You'll Do

Own Your Cases

• Independently handle litigation and pre-lawsuit dispute matters from initial client contact through resolution.
• Identify claims and help clients navigate their options with clear, strategic advice.
• Draft demand letters, motions, settlement agreements, and other critical documents.
• Effectively confer with franchisors and opposing counsel.
• Set and manage client expectations with professionalism and clarity.
• Develop cases for trial and arbitration hearings.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar.
• Minimum 4 years of legal experience.
