Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Operator Manager to lead CAD operations supporting active civil construction projects. This role focuses on construction-ready drawings, fast-paced revisions, field coordination, and managing CAD staff while ensuring accuracy, constructability, and schedule compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production and revision of civil construction drawings (grading, utilities, drainage, roadway, erosion control, traffic control).
• Support construction teams with layout, work plans, RFIs, change orders, and as-built documentation.
• Review drawings for constructability, accuracy, and field usability.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and survey crews.
• Supervise and mentor CAD staff; assign workloads and manage priorities.
• Maintain CAD standards, document control, and revision tracking.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure timely delivery of construction documents.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CAD experience with a strong focus on civil construction.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills (Civil 3D preferred).
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, as-built's, sequencing, and field coordination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

• Heavy civil or site development construction experience.
• Experience with construction staking and as-builts.
• Technical degree or CAD certification.
