About This Position
About the Position
Were seeking a Senior Scheduler with expertise in Communications Based Train Controls (CBTC) to work on large, complex heavy civil rail transit projects. This is a long term, full-time, on-site position located in New York, NY.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following
- Responsible for schedule management to support client programs or projects including design and construction projects.
- Responsible for developing, updating, and analyzing detailed execution schedules for multiple projects being executed simultaneously.
- Develop baseline schedule and/or produce summary and detailed review of baseline durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, resource histograms.
- Identify and analyze schedule critical path/near critical path activities for reasonableness, relevance, and accuracy.
- Review periodic CPM schedule updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
- Perform earned value analysis and produce EVM reports.
- Schedule Change Management and detail review and analysis of change orders.
- Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays.
- Provide recommendations for schedule recovery, conduct recovery schedule reviews, and perform what-if scenario analysis.
- Assess and provide recommendations to resolve schedule, scope changes or delays to the Project Manager, Project Team, and/or Executive Management.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years progressive experience in construction scheduling on large, complex heavy civil infrastructure programs.
- Experience scheduling for CBTC and/or intelligent transportation systems (ITS) projects.
- Experience with schedule analysis, including critical path methodology, cost/resource loading, and preparing time impact analyses (TIAs).
- Experience with Change Order and Extension of Time analyses.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing contractor schedule submittals (baseline and monthly updates).
- Experience developing, preparing, and maintaining project reports and documentation.
- Experience applying risk analysis techniques to CPM schedules, including the use of Monte Carlo simulation.
- Experience creating and presenting technical presentations in group settings and meetings.
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in engineering or construction management.
- Active professional certifications such as PSP (AACE), PMI-SP or PMP (PMI), and/or CCM (CMAA).
- Experience in design build project delivery.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for building interactive dashboards and KPI visualizations.
Compensation Details
Expected Salary: $175k-$220k/year ($84-$106/hour). Luster provides the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might offer for this position based on the successful candidates level of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications/licenses, geographic location, etc. Luster reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range depending on circumstances not related to any status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
