Lead Construction Technician at Illies Nohava Property Management – Sauk Rapids, Minnesota

Master Trade Services, Inc. (MTS) was established in 1981 for the purpose of providing trade support to the property management industry. Today, MTS provides a wide range of repair, disaster restoration, and construction service coverage throughout Minnesota, with a concentration in Central and Southern, MN.

What We're Looking For:

Master Trade Services, located in Sauk Rapids, MN, is currently seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Lead Construction Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of residential construction and remodeling tasks.

This role involves working on both multi-family and single-family properties, performing skilled carpentry and light maintenance tasks. The right candidate will take pride in quality workmanship, have strong attention to detail, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)

• Lead and supervise construction crews (typically 3–10 workers)
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications
• Delegate tasks and ensure crews stay on schedule
• Maintain a safe job site and enforce safety protocols
• Communicate progress and issues with project managers
• Perform skilled construction tasks (carpentry, framing, concrete, demo, etc.)
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality
• Coordinate materials, tools, and subcontractors as needed
• Troubleshoot problems and provide on-site solutions

Who We Are Looking For (Ideal Candidate):

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of carpentry or construction experience, leadership or foreman experience preferred
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Time Management skills, must be able to lead by example and motivate team members
• Proficient with standard power tools and construction equipment
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus
