This is an operations-driven role supporting critical infrastructure and utility coordination processes. You will play a key part in preparing projects for field operations by managing 811 design ticket submissions and ensuring accurate utility record collection. Working closely with project managers, mapping teams, and utility stakeholders, youll help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on schedule. This position is ideal for someone highly detail-oriented, organized, and process-focused, with an interest in infrastructure, geospatial operations, or utility coordination. In a remote-first environment (East Coast preferred), youll contribute to structured workflows that directly impact successful project execution.
Accountabilities:- Submit and manage 811 design ticket requests through state and local One Call Centers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required information.
- Track ticket confirmations, response deadlines, and statuses using task management tools, maintaining up-to-date project visibility.
- Proactively contact utility owners to request available records such as maps, PDFs, or shapefiles, ensuring documentation is received on time.
- Follow up on outstanding requests and escalate delays or unresponsive stakeholders when necessary.
- Review incoming utility records for completeness and usability before distributing internally.
- Upload and organize documentation within internal systems according to established standards and workflows.
- Provide timely updates to internal teams and contribute to weekly status reporting.
- Ensure adherence to jurisdiction-specific regulations and internal standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes and standardized workflows consistently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external utility contacts.
- Experience using task-tracking, workflow, or document management platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Organizational skills with a proactive approach to follow-ups and issue resolution.
- Interest in utilities, infrastructure, geospatial systems, or operational coordination.
- Nice to have: Exposure to 811 design ticket processes through coursework, internships, or prior roles.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with platforms such as Monday.com, SharePoint, or similar collaboration tools.
